Devon Mills was recently admitted to the California State Bar and joined the Schlichter & Shonack’s legal team as an attorney in 2019. Prior to his admission, he worked as a law clerk for the firm since 2018. As a member of the firm, his eagerness and enthusiasm for the law has already produced favorable results for his clients, sometimes at very early stages of litigation.
Although a newer attorney, Devon already has already acquired significant experience and exposure to the litigation process. Prior to admission, Devon externed for a Federal District Judge for the Central District of California, which provided him with keen insight as to what it takes to win a case. Furthermore, he graduated law school with a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine’s number one ranked Dispute Resolution Program. This training in Alternative Dispute Resolution has fostered his development of the highly desirable skill of being able to creatively pursue diverse methods of achieving successful outcomes for his clients without the necessity of court intervention. Additionally, Devon’s extensive Moot Court experience has prepared him to assist the firm’s appellate division, challenging questionable rulings and dispositions of cases at the trial court level. Lastly, Devon also possesses an international law certificate from Pepperdine’s London Program, where he spent six months of his legal education studying under English Barristers. In his spare time, Devon is a Barry’s Bootcamp and indoor cycling enthusiast.
